SNL - Iran So Far

Here it is

My new favorite song- Mahmoud

Andy Samberg's love for Iran's president. I am going to put up the video as soon as it's possible. I loved it when I just saw it on my recorded SNL. It is this week's 'Dick in a Box'. This time it's Adam Levine from Maroon 5. And Fred Armisen looks exactly like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (yeah- I had to copy and paste the name). I immediately need the lyrics.

Edit-- here are the very beginning lyrics

They say true love comes only once in a lifetime.
And even though we come from opposite ends of the earth, my heart tells me you’re the one for me.

Mahmoud.

I remember when it started
saw you on the news,
You were hating gays,
I was eating food.
But I was feeling you
and even though I disagree with almost everything you say
You ain’t wrong with me
So strong to me
You belong to me
Like a very hairy Jake Gyllenhaal to me
Mahmoud make my heart beat right out of my chest
My mind says no, but my body says yes

Nuclear threat,
the only threat I see is the threat of you not coming home with me
Our love for each other is like when atoms collide
Can’t express how I feel, hey yo! Adam lets ride..

The Simpsons opening Season 19

I was just going through my programs in my DVR. I was saving this episode of The Simpsons just so I could rewatch the opening. So I thought I would share it...
Even though I really didn't care for it, I still think it was witty to make the first opener like that.

Paris Hilton does Dave Letterman

I actually feel bad for the girl. I think she handled herself pretty well. I like that her self-soothing reflex is kicking her leg. She was moving that thing like crazy to keep the tears in. Frankly, David Letterman is really not funny. Insulting someone like Paris Hilton is too easy, and when you are a sixty year old man you should know that...

PB and J

Yay!

Nipple chaffing

The picture is from the latest Entertainment Weekly (which I am going to get ASAP)

So Fun Run was on last night. I have only watched it once entirely, however I replayed Meredith getting hit about four times. I am glad to have the show back and can't wait to see where the season goes. I'll most likely re-watch the episode about two times over the weekend.

Something that surprised me was how good My Name Is Earl was. I love, love, love the first season-- however parts of the second season left me cold... so I wasn't sure I would love it...
But then they brought their A game. I mean Ben Foster completely terrifies me and attracts me at the same time- so bravo on that choice for a boy scout in a mentally deranged inmate's body. I really enjoyed it- I would have to say I (almost)enjoyed it more than The Office (I know, I know...)

On to my life, this week has been hectic...

I almost got into a car accident Thursday morning- some guy whipped out in front of me and almost ran into my side of the car.

Today- work was crazy. I didn't work until 12:15, but I don't think I got to sit down for two seconds. I have to feed a child through a feed tube in his stomach now, and the rest of the children were completely crazy because we had a substitute in the room in the morning. Then after I got them all to sleep I got ready to plan activities for next week, when I had to do an impromptu intake (initial meeting before a child starts in our room) with a parent. It sounds less crazy than it was- but it was crazy.

Now I'm just doing nothing at all- which suits me just fine.

Why I can't sleep

On Tuesday I purchased Knocked Up from Target. That is I bought the 2 Disc Collector's Edition with as the cover says 'over 3 hours of new outrageous bonus features.'

They aren't lying, I thought it would be lame like most so-called bonuses on other DVDs. If you liked the movie at all- then you will love the DVD. I just finished the fake documentary of Finding Ben Stone. I had already seen a couple of stars that had 'originally' (not really) portrayed the main character, but they made it a mini-movie. I haven't stopped laughing over the last couple days, because I am still watching new material. I highly recommend it!

Have I mentioned I love Jason Segell? I think I may have to buy Freaks and Geeks.

Have I mentioned that I miss Lost?

Apparently somewhere in the world Lost Season 3 has been released. Some kind soul put this blooper clip on YouTube. I almost didn't watch it and then I said- who am I kidding- I've got to.
No Spoilers- duh!

Mike Rowe on QVC - Precious Moments

Now I'm on a Mike Rowe kick- here is a clip of him hacking Precious Moments on QVC. I love that he could give a crap. 'Love lifted me- from a technical standpoint it was your weight that lifted me...'

Mike Rowe Outtakes

Why do I love Mike Rowe? Exhibit A

God Warrior

If you watched Trading Spouses before you probably remember the 'God Warrior' woman,
Marguerite Perrin. Her rant is shown below. Her 25 year old daughter was killed recently in a car accident. I found it sad, because I remembered the daughters and they seemed really nice in the episode- well at least not crazy and bitchy. She leaves an 8 year old daughter. I always felt so sorry for that family, with the 'Carrie-like' mother...
This post is probably in bad taste...

Deleted Clip From Knocked Up- NSFW

My favorite deleted clip from Knocked Up. I couldn't stop laughing. Why hadn't I seen this before?

TV Shows

I watched the first episode of Bionic Woman tonight. I enjoyed it, probably my biggest surprise like of the season. Michelle Ryan is absolutely beautiful. I am interested to see where the show goes. I also watched Dirty Sexy Money tonight- and I am iffy on it. I love me some Peter Krause so I'm going to give it more chances.

America's Next Top Model was interesting tonight. It featured a photo shoot that dealt with smoking. It had the 'models' portray a beautiful image of a smoking woman and the potential effects of the nasty habit reflected in a mirror. I watch ANTM every once and awhile, depending on my mood. I thought some of the pictures were very touching, others were completely ridiculous.

The only show that I am eagerly awaiting is The Office tomorrow night. It will be spectacular. My brother told me tonight that he has been watching it on TBS and that he enjoys it. That is a huge acknowledgement from him, now I only have to get him to watch Lost and admit it is the best show ever.

Hey, hey- I want to be a pop star

Oh my- I'm loving this!

Not the Brady's XXX trailer- nothing pornographic

In the old days I would have been outraged at this. Now I know they were all having devious sexual relations with each other on the actual show.

OMG- I am so craving new Lost

I saw these pictures on a site and I'm so ready for the new episodes. I am not a patient person, I'm going to go ape shit waiting for January. Oh how I miss all the characters...

The pictures might be spoilery- if you haven't watched the season three finale. But, come on who hasn't watched it?

I am in the middle of Heroes. I recorded it and I started watching it around 1 AM. I'm waiting to be wooed by the show, because the finale left me cold last spring. I may watch the rest tomorrow instead of now, since it is obscenely late/early in morning.

Night night

Into the Wild - Trailer

This movie is interesting to me for a couple of reasons. I read the book in college. Maybe I'll post a report I did on it, but probably not. It was partly filmed in South Dakota. And the last reason, I gave the book to a guy who reminded me of Chris McCandless, and I never got the book back. It should be interesting to see what they did with it, because I don't really care for Sean Penn. However, I'm actually happy to be looking forward to seeing a movie- because there is a drought in movies I would ever pay money to watch.

It takes a lot longer to recover when you are 29

For the second weekend in a row, I went out to Borrowed Bucks. The picture is how I felt after leaving Bucks. I'm not going to make a habit of it, because quite frankly I felt gross afterwards. Everybody smokes there- I felt like an ashtray. Groping guys- blah! Anyway, I went last week with co-workers and this weekend I went up with Rebekah. She was in town with her hubby Jamie (who had a bachelor party to attend). First we watched some episodes of The Office Season Three, which you can never watch too much of- right?

Then we went to supper at Panera Bread, and I liked it. It was really cozy. Then we went to Buck's for a drink at around 9:30 PM and ended up staying until 1:30 AM. We came back showered (separately-thank you), ate pizza, and watched another episode of The Office (The Coup). After that we fell asleep, and woke up when Jamie came over at 9:30 AM. After some chit-chat they left to go back to Fairmont, MN and I went back to sleep and slept until 5 PM. This is a new development, I never slept that late into the day when I was younger. I'm sleeping through any hangover and then I can't get to sleep until 3 AM. It sucks.

Anyway- Sunday was a waste of a day. My brother called and reminded me that the Family Guy Star Wars episode was going to be on. It was actually cute, and I'm not big on the show. I had already been watching Death Proof, which I had got this week. It is still freaky and awesome. If you don't know what Death Proof is, it is the Quentin contribution to Grindhouse. I love it. Anyway....

How I Met Your Mother and Heroes season premiere are on Monday night! I am hoping they both kick ass.

Pictures I found while looking through Blogger Play

A new feature on Blogger is the Blogger Play. It flashes pictures that users put on their blogs. It is fascinating what people put on their blogs. Anway while the pictures were flashing I noticed the following pictures. As you are watching the pictures you can click on them and you will be brought to the blog the picture is from. I love seeing all the different written languages.

Cute cat picture and Survivor

I'm sorry for more cat pictures- and quite frankly it was cuter in person. Last night I was getting actual things accomplished and Hella jumped up on her favorite perch (mainly because I never wash it) and got comfy. I think she actually likes her claw covers. I have only replaced six since I first put them on September 4th. Considering it was my first time applying them I think I did a great job. Anyway- I looked up and she was laying like that- my heart melted. Not that I'm a crazy cat woman....

I should be on the road already because I'm going to Brookings tonight to watch the first episode of Survivor China. Tradition. Of course I will watch Survivor and tape The Office, etc next week. Anyway I better go go.

SuperTarget in east Sioux Falls?

It's lame that I'm super excited about it, but oh well. I love Target and hate driving across town to go to it- so yippy! In fact, I drove there tonight and got my Office crap. I intended on looking for different quote pens (they have rotating Office quotes and they are gnarly) but I got suckered into more items. Anyway, I ended up getting about eight more things. Yikes! I am going to give some of them to friends. I promise....

SuperTarget could boost east-side development
By Craig Henry and Melanie Brandert
Argus Leader
Published: September 19, 2007
Dawley Farm Village in east Sioux Falls could soon be home to a SuperTarget store, according to plans recently submitted to the city planning department.

The Sioux Falls Planning Commission agenda for the Oct. 3 meeting includes a review of a development plan for a "large single tenant retail building" in the Dawley Farm Village. Dawley Farm is a planned residential, office and retail development between Arrowhead Parkway and East 26th Street, west of Highway 11.

Sioux Falls Urban Planner Steve Randall said those plans point to Target, although the petitioner is Dawley Farms developer Opus Northwest L.L.C. in Minneapolis.

"The building plans they gave us have the Target logo for SuperTarget. They've provided us with designs with Target logos."

A SuperTarget would further expand shopping options in the growing east Sioux Falls retail market and provide direct competition with the nearby Wal-Mart Super Center.

Other projects on the city's east side include The Galleria at River's Bend, a nearly 200-acre commercial development and Arbor's Edge, a 250-acre residential development. Both of those areas border Willow Run Golf Course.

SuperTarget differs from a regular Target store in that it includes grocery products as well as an in-store bakery, deli, meat and produce sections, according to the company's Web site.

Hans Rasmussen, director of real estate development for Opus, would not confirm that the building is a SuperTarget. Rasmussen said Opus is talking with "a number of national retailers, but none we can announce or talk about."

"There's still a lot of things that have to be done," he said. "It's still just planning at this point. We're in the middle of talks with retailers, we're working with the city and talking with the Dawley family. It's all subject and likely to change."

City Planning Director Mike Cooper said the SuperTarget would be an anchor for the Dawley Farm project and have an access point off the new Highway 100 freeway around southern and eastern Sioux Falls.

"It's part of an ongoing desire by the community to have more retail commercial available to the east side of Sioux Falls," he said.

If realized, Evan Nolte, Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce president, said SuperTarget would be one of Dawley Farm Village's major draws. He said the Dawley Farm will be similar to a lifestyle-type development in Maple Grove, Minn., that has shops, high-end retail stores and restaurants.

"Something like that could kick off development," he said. "Dawley Farm development is a major retail commercial development and will be a tremendous boost to the market area and the east side of Sioux Falls."

East-side Sioux Falls residents and those in nearby towns had mixed reactions about the prospect.

Jaime Kim said SuperTarget would create a lot of job opportunities for youths in an area with no traffic problems, while his wife, Mercedes, said she likes to shop there because prices are affordable, and they have a good selection.

"We don't have to go to the mall," Mercedes Kim said.

Stacy Johnson of Brandon said she thought competition was good. Her daughter, Jessica, 14, said she thought it was a good idea because more people will move to the area and it will be more convenient.

Karen Treloar said she wasn't excited about SuperTarget locating on the east side because it would increase traffic.

"I've enjoyed the fact that growth on the east side has been slow and has not been explosive (like the) southwest and west," she said. "I don't mind if I have to drive to do my shopping. I like my quiet neighborhood."

Cooper said city staff is reviewing plans and an amendment for Dawley Farm Village will be presented Oct. 3 to the city Planning Commission. Final plans probably would go to the commission in November.

Cooper said construction could start next spring, with completion in 2009.

Elodie tells it like it is!

Yesterday's The Hills Live After Show
I watched yesterday's Live After show that is on MTV. It is hosted by some redhead and Dan (whose famous father may be obvious) Give up? Eugene Levy!
Shoot me now! Is The Office here yet!
I tried to embed it and it didn't work- bastard!

I loved when Heidi got served by her co-worker Elodie. It was awesome.

The Office shopping spree!

Last week I saw on Live Journal that Target stores were having Office items in the dollar bins. I, of course, went and there was absolutely nothing in the bins. Not only no Office stuff, but nothing. Tonight after the Big Brother finale I rolled out of the door and went to Target. I searched the main wall and Eureka! I found two wipe off boards! I was so excited, but then I wanted to find more. I looked for a minute or so, before I saw the huge quantities of Office products. I actually showed restraint in getting things. I passed on a couple of things and only got one of the things I liked. I still spent $14 on things. I included a picture of all my stuff and it separated into two groups. I might even give some to deserving Office fans at Christmas. I said might!

Emmy's were kind of cute

I am just catching up with the Emmy's. I am watching the duel between Rainn and Kanye. I just like Rainn it doesn't matter what he does- he's just cute. 'You can be my black Kate Moss tonight' How tall is Rainn? Because Kanye is short compared to him. The clip is below

Quite frankly these awards don't matter, in fact, I would prefer that my shows I like didn't get a lot of recognition because that is when they get shitty.

Primatech

Another Adrian video. This one ends up on a close up of one of the hottest men on television. That's right- you know who...

I just saw this posted on ONTD and it made me think about last night. I went out with co-workers for a scavenger hunt last night. We had a lot of fun, and I was on the winning team! Afterwards a big group of us went to some little mini-mall dive bar and had a couple of drinks. We discussed families and children from the past and pop culture everything. Britney Spears, Big Brother 8 (it seems like everyone is a secret watcher of it), and The Hills. I had a couple of coworkers talk about how much they love Lauren Conrad. They are in their thirties and forties. One reason I watch it is because I dislike everyone on it and I like to make fun of them. I realized that I was never going to be good friends with one of my co-workers when she said that she loves Fergie. I knew any hope was officially over.

After a couple more co-workers left the rest of us went bar-hopping and had a really fun night. I think we all just needed to act a fool, and boy did we ever. Saying that I slept until 4 PM today. Seriously. I'm wise enough to sleep through hangovers now.

Friday, September 14, 2007

I'm sure that there is a legitimate way to embed the video, but that would require more computer know how than I have.

Here is the link to a funny video from The Soup featuring Seth Green. It may look familiar, and if it doesn't-- 'Where in the hell have you been this week?'

I haven't forgotten

I am a little upset at the lack of coverage of the sixth year since 9/11. I still think about all the families that were waiting for loved ones to come home. It feels longer than six years. I 'get' that our culture wants to move on and not dwell on the past, but we can't forget that day. Just take a little time to remember this morning. Call your parents and tell them you love them. Do something kind for a stranger. Do something.

I'm feeling nostalgic!

Now here is a VMA performance!

I can't help it, I like Britney Spears! They may as well have just shown this again with her new song dubbed over- it would have been a better choice.

Britney did a bad bad thing

I really was hoping that she could have pulled it out of her ass and put on a performance. All the reviews speak for themselves. She does appear to be on something that is hindering being completely present. Is it just being nervous or something else? I just wish she would have worn more clothing. I'm not going to say that she is out of shape, because truthfully she looked alright, but she just had 2 kids in 2 years. A well constructed outfit would have pulled her together a little more. Plus, I wish that she would try her actual hair. It is probably long enough to be styled cute. It was like somebody trying to fit into their old clothes they wore out to the bar five years ago. It might still fit, but it isn't the same- you just look uncomfortable. Britney needs to grow up in many ways.

Gimme More

I'm getting a little excited about the VMAs tomorrow night. I probably won't see it all Sunday night. I have to admit that I check out Perez Hilton, because one out of fifty posts he does I find interesting especially if he hasn't doodled on the picture. Anyway, he has posted about twenty seconds of Britney rehearsing. She just might make me forget the last four years. Probably not.

The Mean Kitty Song

I just saw this while looking at the Earl video. It amuses me and makes me feel more sane in comparison. Plus, the kitty is just like my Hella. Awww!

FREE EARL MUSIC VIDEO

I think I'm ready for some new Earl. This video is the right amount of lame.

Internet people

I just got this from Best Week Ever. I liked the animation of some of the most popular viral videos, it's cute. Enjoy!

I also had to include this picture of The Family Guy's Star Wars episode. I can only stomach an episode every once and a while- it isn't in my opinion the most witty animated show (that would be Home Movies!). However, my brother is a big fan of the show and plus I have the same actual Star Wars poster downstairs at my parents. I think they did a good job with it.

Plus, here is a picture of Zac and Nikki in Australia promoting Hairspray. About the whole nudity thing of his girlfriend... I feel bad for her. Plus, she wasn't doing anything lewd in the picture. If I had that body I would walk around nude all the time. More power to you!

On to Big Brother news. The double eviction night was pretty fun. Bye Jessica and Eric.

Oh Eric, you will not be missed by this viewer. I'm team Zach all the way baby! Dani and Dick are so full of themselves it is sickening to watch and read about.

Random entertainment rants

I had to include a picture of Zac, because he is so cute.

The sad news of the day is that Jenna Fischer and her husband James Gunn are separated. Celebrity splits are common I guess, but I was sad none-the-less.

The very, very disturbing celebrity couple news is Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere. The creators really screwed the pooch when they made the two characters related. I have seen a lot of pictures of them lately and they can't hide the fact that they are into each other. Lusting over your long lost niece ain't kosher- ewww!

There is good news- I came home and Hella had on all of her Soft Paw covers. Yay!

Here is my current wallpaper on my computer. It is my niece Samantha just chilling in the back seat of my car. She looks so content, it makes me smile.

I wrestled with the beast and I won

My order of Soft Paws came today. I put them on Hella later in the evening. They look good, however she fought me every single time I put on of the caps on. I also didn't cut the glue in the best way so I was struggling to get them on. The first two I put on ended up falling up. Since I have fixed them they have been staying on. I am probably going to have to replace a couple tomorrow. In a way, it is more of a training for me to put them on appropriately. Hella is truly pissed off at me, you can see the fire in her eyes. I'll have to keep track of how many times I have to replace her covers.

Here is a cute picture of the girls before the Elmo show this Sunday. My camera is really crappy lately. Despite this I love the picture.

I also have to admit to having bought Season 3 of The Office. Even though I have every episode on scattered DVDs. I like having all the episodes in a central location. Will I do the same for this next season? Probably. Heck, I already know that I am going to buy Season 3 of Lost as well. Or maybe I'll get it at Christmas? I should be sleeping considering I only slept 4 hours last night. I think I have a slight case of insomnia.

You can be Marshall's hero baby!

Just went of The TV addict's blog and saw these pictures from Season 3 of How I Met Your Mother. Since Robin and Ted broke up at the end of Season 2, the audience gets to see more of their dating life. It is already common knowledge that Mandy Moore plays a love interest of Ted's and now we know that Enrique Iglesias will play Robin's new love interest. I just love Marshall (Jason Segel) in the second picture. I can't wait for the next season. Here is the link to the source: right here

Too much time on their hands- but in a good way

Here are two guys doing a dance to Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. I love it- a little too much.

Humuhumunukunukuapua'a (the lost video from HSM2)

Today was a great day I went to Elmo Grows Up with my sister and the two nieces, and then went to Knocked Up (again) with my brother Nate. I just saw this and I thought I would share it. We were listening to it on the way up to the Sesame Street concert today.

The Pirate Movie - Pumpin' Blowin'

wow. Now I'm on a Pirate Movie craze. This song didn't seem as perverted in the 80s.

The Pirate Movie - Happy Ending

Why am I posting this? Because I love The Pirate Movie and it's awesome. Also ten years ago I met a 'soul mate' who was a complete stranger to me. One of the things that made me love her was when I found out she loved The Pirate Movie. That person is my friend and former roommate for three years of college. I love you Kathy!

Reading got hotter!
