My life. In all it's boring details.
I love both of the artists. Love the original song- yet it doesn't seem right for a duet. All the same I like seeing the video. The song reminds me of a family that I had in my room about a year ago. A young single mother who was going through a divorce with the father. She wasn't ready to let go and she made it difficult on herself, her estranged husband, and of course their daughter. She treated her daughter like a friend, and I think that this 4 year old heard and saw more than she should have. Every time I hear that song I think of her about fifteen years in the future, repeating her mother's life and mistakes. The part that really makes me think of it is this:I watched you dieI heard you cry every night in your sleepI was so youngYou should have known better than to lean on meYou never thought of anyone elseYou just saw your painAnd now I cry in the middle of the nightFor the same damn thingAnyway, there's more to the story, but that might give away who the family is and that's a big no-no for where I work. Confidentiality and all that jazz. I should be in bed already...
